Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to making SEED usable by every woman entrepreneur, regardless of ability.
1. Our Commitment
SEED – She Empowers EveryDay is built on the belief that opportunity should be accessible to every woman entrepreneur, including those with disabilities. We are committed to ensuring our Platform is usable by the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or the technology used to access it.
2. Standards We Follow
We aim to align the Platform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the internationally recognised standard for web accessibility. This includes ongoing efforts around:
- Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements, including the navigation menu, forms, and the event registration modal, can be operated using a keyboard alone, including a "Skip to main content" link.
- Screen reader support — semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and landmark roles are used throughout, including on navigation menus, forms, and live status updates.
- Colour contrast — text and interactive elements are designed to meet minimum contrast ratios against their backgrounds.
- Responsive design — the Platform adapts to different screen sizes, zoom levels, and devices, including mobile and low-bandwidth connections common across rural India.
- Reduced motion — animations and transitions are minimised automatically for users who have enabled "reduce motion" in their operating system settings.
- Form accessibility — form fields include visible labels, clear error messaging, and live-region announcements for submission status.
3. Language Accessibility
Beyond technical accessibility, we recognise that language can be a barrier to opportunity. SEED's courses and community features are available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, Marathi, and English, with more regional languages being added over time.
4. Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of the Platform — such as embedded third-party content or newly launched features — may not yet fully meet our accessibility standards. We are actively working to identify and resolve these gaps.
5. Feedback & Reporting Issues
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of SEED. If you encounter a barrier while using the Platform, please let us know:
- Email: seed@ivirth.in
- Contact form: seed.ivirth.in/pages/contact.php
When reporting an issue, please include the page URL, a description of the problem, and the browser or assistive technology you were using. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
6. Ongoing Efforts
Accessibility is not a one-time project but an ongoing commitment. We periodically review the Platform, incorporate user feedback, and update our design and code to improve the experience for all users.
